Alexander Ponomarenko is a propulsion engineer and software architect.
After graduating from high school in 1987, he attended the Kharkov Aviation Institute - KhAI, USSR (now National Aerospace University of Ukraine), and graduated in 1994 with a M.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering with focusing on analysis and design of liquid propellant rocket engines.
In 1994, he joined the Applied Mathematics Department at Belgorod State University, Russia.
In 2000, he was offered a job at Germany-based contract research organization with operations spread over West and East Europe, Asia and USA. He is currently a Senior Software Architect responsible for the design and development of corporate distributed systems.
Since 2004 on his own initiative he is developing the software for rocket engines analysis intended for use in conceptual and preliminary design. In 2007 he launched the site software.lpre.de, and in 2008 published early version of RPA, written in Java.
